Time

Time: An all-time fascination

God has created such a wonderful world with perfect calculation. I mean, I am amazed and fascinated by his calculation of time. A day has 24 hours, each hour has 60 minutes and each minute has 60 seconds. Now, think what is an average pulse rate of a human being? It is 60 to 120 beats per minute. And what is a good heart beat? It is 60 beats in a minute. If I put all these strings together, isn’t it fascinating that how God has calculated each heart beat with each second. So, dear readers do you want to USE EACH SECOND OF YOUR TIME in sync with your pulse rate. Because, we don’t know when and how, this pulse rate will distort with the time clock set by the God.

Time: An all-time fascination

In this article I am going to talk about value of time, and how to use it judiciously. I have given a different perspective of time in my other article One Thing God has given the same to all!

I call time a fascination because over past many years and many decades and centuries, people have tried to create time machine to move back in time or to move forward in time, fiction stories and movies on this, but, none of us can move even a second ahead or back in time. I think this is GOD’S greatest indication to look and live in present. Yes, one can repent or be happy about past, worry or be unconcerned about future, whatever the case may be, the fact of the matter is that one has to live in the present; neither the past can be changed not the future be predicted.

At least while living in the present, one should value owns’ time and actions. We all have read many stories and articles and books on time management, importance of time and the value of time. What I am going to talk about is just one very important aspect of valuing time.

For me the most important aspect of valuing time is to recall day’s activities at bed time. When you go through the entire activity chart from morning to night before sleeping, you can analyse your time utilization. While recalling about time, you can actually scan and scrutinize areas where time has been has wasted or utilized, took longer than usual to perform a task or completed job quickly.

It is easier said than done that all of us should not waste time, utilise each second and manage our time properly. It is easy to preach but difficult to practice, but, evaluating days’ tasks in the night, and spending just 5 minutes on self is easy, you can know where you went wrong and can correct yourself.

Time: An all-time fascination

In no way, I am trying to say that an individual should work like a machine and should not have any leisure time for self. The idea is to check and introspect that “did I spend my time properly?” Question yourself, “Why did I took so long to complete this task?”, “Why did I spend so much time on mobile?”; regrets like, “I haven’t done anything useful and fruitful today”, “why did I sleep for so long?”, “why have I left my work for tomorrow?” and many more such regrets.

Being regretful is also not a problem, but being regretful for days and days for the same situation is the problem. Having no regrets is also a problem because then you feel that you haven’t misused and misspent time and you are perfect. It also reflects about casual outlook towards time and work. With this kind of approach, there is little scope left for improvement and one is in the vicious circle of killing time, procrastination and laid back and relaxed attitude.

Also constantly remind yourself of the fact that neither the time will stop, nor you can go back in time and nor you can go forward in time to know your future. Therefore, living in present with judicious use of time is the best and only approach for a pleasant life.

Once we understand the value of time, then comes utilization of time wisely and sensibly. It is in this aspect that many of us get stuck. There are certain points that if we follow and practice, it would do wonders in our life.

  • Prioritize work: place the most important task at the top followed by next and so on.
  • Set time limit for a task: even if you are cooking, eating, watching mobile or TV, walking or exercising, studying etc. set the time limit.
  • Save time on daily rituals that one does, as it is pre-planned: there are certain activities that we do daily and there is a set procedure for the same. We don’t need extended hours for this, rather these activities can be completed in short duration.
  • Know the purpose of your life: you need to know your goal and purpose for life.
  • Try to get balance in your life: please go through my article in the form of a story: Striking A Balance for complete understanding of the same.
  • Be organised: Cluttered and disorganised work consumes a lot of time.
  • Have a good sleep: If you don’t have good sleep today, you cannot manage time and work tomorrow.

Time: An all-time fascination

Time is wonderful, it gives pleasure and sorrow, it heals our grief but can also lead us into one, it cannot be controlled but can control us and it is our friend and enemy both.

In the end, I would just ask all my readers that GOD has done perfect calculation of time, have we? Are we using time in synchronization with our heart beat? Do we sleep with regrets in our hearts? Answer these questions to your utmost sincerity and you don’t need to go anywhere to get perfect reply. Walk along with time before we are left far behind.

Please keep posting and keep giving suggestions.
